My name is Nicola Scott and I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in 2008. I am very proud of my Registration and the skills I have developed during my career in Veterinary medicine, having been in practice since I was 15 years old.

Throughout my career I have put patient care and client's needs at the forefront of any help I can offer, helping to ease the stress associated with treating your pet after diagnosis from the Vet. I understand the worries of being an owner and struggling to look after your pets in difficult circumstances. I have also seen the frustration from the Vet's side that we haven't been able to help clients and pets with difficulties they experience.

I am now able to offer this help in the community, and in the comfort of your own home, as a District Registered Veterinary Nurse and member of the DVN Hub.

I have undertaken further training in cat care, rabbit care, guinea pig care and managing conditions at home. I believe 'prevention is better than cure' and being able to treat a condition earlier in the process is nicer for you, kinder for your pet and easier on your finances (whether insured or not).

At home I have a daughter, cat, 2 rabbits and some cold water fish (which has been a massive learning curve!). I have previously owned dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, jirds, and helped my parents on their small holding. I also help a local hedgehog rescue in my spare time.

If you need help caring for your pet please get in touch as I am able to help with most cases.

As per the RCVS Code of Conduct, I will only take on work that I am competent to do.

This is not a diagnostic service and I cannot diagnose, operate or prescribe.

I will discuss all cases with the Veterinary Surgeon to ensure complete and thorough treatment and care of your pet.
