In 2022 I qualified as a Class 4 K-Laser Veterinary Therapist.

I have used laser therapy to treat or manage a range of conditions over many years so I am very confident in it's capabilities!

Laser is a great addition to a holistic approach to treating or managing wounds, infections (e.g. ear), arthritis, and a lot more. It can reduce the discomfort associated with lifetime conditions such as bladder disease, or life-limiting conditions like COPD.

Laser can also increase the speed of healing after surgical procedures and reduce the chance of complications (e.g. swelling, infection - as long as post operative care is also carried out at home, like not letting your pet lick the surgical site).

Laser works by combining different wavelengths, powers and frequencies of laser light which penetrate into the different tissues based on the size of your pet, helping to improve healing times, increasing circulation and reducing pain and swelling. Laser often sounds scary because we are aware of the risks but it also has many benefits.

Please have a look at the K-Laser website for more details and watch the following videos.

Please visit the DVN Hub for more information about how referral works.

Veterinary nursing care and advice is unique to your pet. I will liaise with your Vet to ensure the best care plan is in place to aid your pet's comfort and recovery, from the first day they join your family to the last.

If you need help caring for your pet please get in touch as I am able to help with most cases.

As per the RCVS Code of Conduct, I will only take on work that I am competent to do.

This is not a diagnostic service and I cannot diagnose, operate or prescribe.

I will discuss all cases with the Veterinary Surgeon to ensure complete and thorough treatment and care of your pet.

Occasionally Veterinary treatment, and the associated nursing care, does not go according to plan and your pet may need to have their treatment plan changed or be referred to another Veterinary professional for further investigation or treatment.

If you have concerns regarding a visit or communication, please email hello@nicolavetnurse.co.uk where I will endeavour to resolve your concern. If this is not resolved satisfactorily, please contact the RCVS complaints department.

The DVN Hub is a platform for Vets, RVNs and owners to connect and is not responsible for my actions however they welcome feedback on my conduct, positive or otherwise.

Charges for my services must be paid directly to me prior to or at the time of treatment and are separate to the services and treatment of and from your Vet.
